🌈 How Our Mixed K–5 Model Works
Our mixed-age classroom is intentionally designed to build both confidence and leadership. Younger students gain inspiration and modeling from older peers, while older students strengthen mastery by mentoring and guiding younger campers. During each day, students participate in whole-group warmups together, then break into small, age-adjusted coaching groups where expectations and challenges are differentiated by developmental level. In team-based projects, older students are encouraged to take on leadership roles, while younger students contribute creatively and build confidence in a supportive environment. This mentor-mentee structure promotes responsibility, collaboration, and real-world leadership skills — not just public speaking ability.
